The New York Yankees won their second consecutive Bud Selig East title in 2011, beating the Cincinnati Reds by 7½ games. The Yankees claimed something of a double championship, as they also won their first title in the Joe Cronin League.

The New York Yankees cruised to their second consecutive title in the Bud Selig East in 2011.
Once again, it came to the Yankees against the Chub Feeney League champs, the Cincinnati Reds. However, the Reds faltered badly in their interleague games, going a combined 2-7 against the Yankees and Cleveland Indians. Thus, the Yankees prevailed over the Reds by 7½ games in 2011 after beating them by only one-half game in 2010.
The Reds actually finished closer to last place than to first place. The Chicago Cubs, the last-place team, finished 14 games behind the Yankees.
