Big Leagues in Los Angeles
The San Francisco Giants were granted the first Dick Allen Award championship in 2011 as the National League pennant winners in 2010, but they did not succeed with the prize.
Instead, it was the St. Louis Cardinals who were named the Dick Allen Team of the Year, snagging the prize for the fourth time during the final week of the season and holding it through the National Championship Series with a victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
In the end, the Cardinals overtook the Brewers and Cincinnati Reds in the overall numbers. The Reds actually won the corn five times, more than any other club, but defended it only once in six opportunities.
